Leaving Calcutta proved to be a little more confusing than necessary as we had mixed up Janetteˇ¦s booking and so had to
buy a new ticket. At this late hour the only recourse was business class. The bright side was that Colin got upgraded and so we both enjoyed
the luxury!
Finding our hostˇ¦s home at midnight was more complicated due to extra security which blocks access which is limited to one
street into the area but we were there around midnight to be let in by Paulynn our hostˇ¦s daughter.
Friends Chin Sui Yu and wife Tiz Zy proved as hospitable as ever making us very comfortable in their home and sharing with us as if we were family as we almost
are on this our fifth visit.
The week was filled with Business Group midday meetings in two locations and three sessions including a special one for ladies conducted by Janette. A rewarding
experience entering into the normal lives of these people in their daily routines.
Further sharing opportunities came on Sunday morning at the Praise Baptist Church a newer church plant in a shopping centre as land for Church building is almost
impossible to obtain.
Then the weekend events centered on the Millenium University whose KL chapter is led by Dr Stephen Tee. On the Saturday afternoon an Oral as two D Min theses were
examined one gaining approval the other being sent back for further work and revision. Then on the Sunday night the two yearly graduation when the successful received their degrees
with prayers and congratulations. All this followed by the mandatory Chinese banquet which accompanies such events in these parts.
Janette caught up with Timothy Oii and family links with Hong Kong days singing in choirs and playing piano at the Church. Instead of the formal banquet we were in a
Youth celebration evening for some who had just completd studies. A link with another level of life in KL.
